Gate 26 is the Ego's capacity for memory and the transmission of what is valuable. You have an instinct for what stories and resources serve the tribe's wellbeing. This gate is associated with the capacity to exaggerate and promote — used ethically, this makes an excellent transmitter of real value.

Ego to Spleen — Gate 26 is the Ego's ability to apply willpower to remembering and transmitting stories that serve the tribe. Gate 44 is alertness — the Spleen's instinctive recognition of what has worked in the past. Together, this channel creates a natural memory for patterns of survival and a willingness to transmit those patterns to others. The "surrender" in the channel name refers to the Ego's ultimate recognition that its power must serve the group, not the self. This channel can be very good at salesmanship and marketing — transmitting what is valuable.
