In Human Design, your inner authority is determined by which energy centers are defined in your bodygraph. It represents the most trustworthy source of wisdom within you for making decisions. Unlike the mind — which is designed to be an outer authority (sharing wisdom with others) — your inner authority is a body-based intelligence that communicates through sensations, feelings, instincts, voice, or timing.
