The 12 Human Design Profiles
Explore all 12 Human Design Profiles. Each profile is composed of two lines from the hexagram — your conscious Personality line and unconscious Design line — shaping your life theme, purpose, and the way you interact with the world.
What Is a Profile in Human Design?
Your Profile is one of the most personal aspects of your Human Design chart. It is derived from two numbers — the line of your Personality Sun (conscious, what you identify with) and the line of your Design Sun (unconscious, what others see in you). Together, these two lines create one of 12 possible profiles that describe the costume you wear in this life — your role, your life theme, and the way you are designed to interact with the world.
The six hexagram lines each carry an archetype: 1 — Investigator, 2 — Hermit, 3 — Martyr, 4 — Opportunist, 5 — Heretic, 6 — Role Model. Your profile combines two of these archetypes into a unique pairing that shapes your life journey.
Profiles also fall into three geometric categories that describe the nature of your life path: Right Angle profiles (personal destiny — your journey is primarily about you), Juxtaposition profiles (fixed fate — a very specific life path), and Left Angle profiles (transpersonal karma — your journey involves and impacts others).
The Six Lines
Each profile is made of two of these six fundamental archetypes. The first number is your conscious line (Personality), the second is your unconscious line (Design).
The Three Geometries
The geometry of your profile determines the broader arc of your life and how your destiny unfolds.
